Community development (CD) is an active part of Scouting in many countries of the developing world. Yet it is something that we in Canada know relatively little about, and participate in even less.  Just what CD is and how we can actively participate in it with a Scouting group in a developing country is the purpose of the document below.

This document outlines how a Scouting group in Canada can select a country, community and CD project; plan the project; work with Scouting people in that developing country to help implement it; and then share the learning experiences with others upon your return home.
