Elect Your Pacific Coast Council Voting Representatives - Monday, June 03, 2013

Elect Your Pacific Coast Council Voting Representatives for the Scouts Canada Annual General Meeting to be held this fall.

In accordance with Section 1014 of BP&P, Scouts Canada is seeking to elect the three (3) voting representatives per Council for the Scouts Canada Annual General Meeting; three (3) Voting Members at Large, at least one(1) of which is a Youth member.

Council Voting Representatives shall be elected by Members through an online voting system.

As a Member of Scouts Canada Pacific Coast Council, you are entitled to vote in the election to choose your Council Voting Representatives for the National Annual General Meeting. Your involvement in this process is very important to Scouts Canada.

The voting period is open from Monday, June 3, 2013 and closes at 5:00 pm local time on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Elected Council Voting Representatives will be announced on Friday, June 28, 2013.

Camp Log Jam 2013 – Aug 12 to 18 - Saturday, June 01, 2013

Camp Wolf Howl Jul 28-Aug 10, 2013 - Saturday, June 01, 2013

Camp Wolf Howl is a camp for boys and girls aged 8-12 operated by Scouts Canada on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. The camp is located at Camp Byng which is a unique 210 acre forested campground with 1200m of beach front. Campers check-in at the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal in West Vancouver and are then transported by ferry and bus to the camp.

Experience great food, great fun, great music! Sleep under the stars on movie night and Star Gaze from your sleeping bag, try your skills on the Low and "NEW" High Ropes Challenge Courses, fly through the air on the "NEW" Twin Zip Lines, go on Beach Walks and see what the Sea has to offer, make some Creative Crafts, go on Scavenger Hunts, learn how to Canoe on a quiet lake and so much more. So come and join the fun for one or two weeks this summer.

Mark your Calendars for Nite Hike 2014! - Saturday, June 01, 2013

NiteHike is an annual adventure for registered Scouts and Guides run overnight in the Metro Vancouver - Pacific Spirit Regional Park in April. Participants test their mettle on about 27 fun and skill-testing stations designed and run by Venturers, Rangers, Rovers and Pathfinders spread throughout Pacific Spirit Park.

Usually about 800-1000 youth and leaders participate in the event, typically in teams of 4 to 7 people. The hike runs all night and teams have to be prepared to deal with any weather conditions. Participants should bring water, a cup and a snack. Hot chocolate and hot dogs are available at some stations on the hike.

Nite Nite 2014 will be held on April 12th, 2014!

Science World Camps - Stay Tuned for 2014 - Saturday, June 01, 2013

Science World camps are loads of fun for youth as well as leaders and are open to Scouting members in all Councils. They are overnight camps starting at 6:30pm Saturday evening and finishing at 8:30am the next morning.

Camp Activities include Omnimax Movie, interaction with the exhibits, science shows with youth participation, night walk around the upper Science World Dome, snacks, sleeping around and the exhibits and much more!

These events provide good opportunities for youth to learn the great wonders of science and for Cub Scouts and Scouts to earn science related badges. All youth will receive a complementary Science World Crest. All campers will also be able to purchase Science World T-Shirts at the camp and shop at the gift shop.
