The Chinook Council's Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. This year, we linked five different locations across the Council, taking advantage of on-line meeting technology.
Tracey Stock was recommended for reappointment as Council Commissioner and Kristen Maki was recommended for reappointment as Council Youth Commissioner. Council Treasurer Ako Ufodike was also reappointed.
Nine members were elected to the Community Council:

· Sheila Carruthers-Forget
· Bernie Humphries
· Kent Jones
· Douglas Kitching
· Bruce Watson
· Ryan Yeo
The nominating committee continues to seek additional members to ensure that the Community Council reflects the diversity of communities the council serves.
The Boards of Directors of the Calgary Chinook Scout Foundation and Scouts Canada's Property Society of Alberta were both ratified by the membership. Greg Kuran will serve as the Calgary Chinook Scout Foundation President for 2011-2012. Bill Cox will continue to serve as Chair of the Property Society Board of Directors.
As part of the evening groups from across the council presented audio-visual presentations of their participation in the Helaman’s Encampment, Pacific Jamboree, World Scout Jamboree and individual section summer adventures. Watch for some of these to be posted on the council web site in the next few weeks.
