2nd Voyageur Council Recycling Event

With the success of last fall's event, we are excited to yet again "do our duty" for the environment.  Please share with your family, friends and neighbours this announcement and promote this event to be bigger and better than last year.

Please feel free to use the Flyer or Poster to e-mail those who you feel may be interested in getting rid of their old and used electronics. 

You could also print page two of the "flyer" and cut it into four (4) flyers and distribute to your neighbours.

2011 (Fall) Electronics Recycling Event

On Saturday, October 15 Voyageur Council engaged the community in a environmental event that was extremely well received.  Within a 4 hour window, we not only filled the truck provided by the FCM recycling company in partnership with Scouts Canada, we more than doubled it!  30 pallets of recycling!  Early estimates put the total weight of the recycled items in the ball park of 10 tonnes (or 22,000 lbs). 

A Big Scouting "Thanks" to those strong individuals of 28th Ottawa.  They were awesome in moving people swiftly through the drop off sight.
