From the editor's desk...
Scouting Life is for you!
I invite you now to be part of it. I want to keep your magazine a complete resource of articles and ideas that are fun, inspirational and relevant to the needs of leaders on the front lines.
One of the most rewarding things for me as an editor is opening a submission from a leader or other volunteer. It's great to receive articles and ideas from regular contributors...and always exciting to read something from a brand new writer.
Although we do edit material for suitability, space, and readability, your words will remain your words. If a piece needs a re-write, you'll be given the opportunity to re-submit. If you choose, we'll do the edits and if you wish, you'll be shown a copy of the edited work before it goes to print. Your name will be on your work, and your words and ideas will be heard.
Speaking of ideas - you are limited only by your imagination.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Meeting organization
- Program planning
- Canoeing or portaging
- Extreme Adventure
- Disability awareness
- Healthy living
- Environmental projects
- Map and compass
- Community service ideas
- Linking events
- Crafts and games
I welcome you to the Scouting Life family of writers, and look forward to reading your submissions.
Please send your articles and submissions to:
