Electronic clipart is equivalent to the hard copy clipart book many of us have used in the past. Instead of manually cutting up the clipart book and pasting the images onto a page of text, the clipart on this page allows you to do the process electronically. All you need is a word processor or desktop publishing package that accepts .GIF graphic files (and the vast majority of popular packages do).
Each web browser handles graphic file retrieval slightly differently. The renditions of the clipart are in .GIF format and normally can be retrieved through commands on your mouse (depending on browser and computer platform, Mac or PC). Your word processing software package's Users Guide is a good place to start if you need more information about how to import and use electronic art in documents.
The clip art images on this site are labelled according to the file names found on the main distribution disks published by Scouts Canada.
