Recommended usage

 

-      Customize the section-specific letter and present it to your parents at the beginning of the year.

-      We recommend this tool as the first step in establishing an open dialogue with parents. Following up with regular communication about changes of meeting location, equipment required, events and your expectations provides a solid foundation to good parent-leader relationships.

-       We suggest you attach your section’s Program Standards; this is useful for parents to clearly understand some of the experiences their child will have. This can be downloaded from our web site.

-       We have designed a separate letter for Colony, Pack, Troop, Company, Extreme Adventure and SCOUTSabout. This is provided in a Microsoft Word version to allow customization at the Section level.
