Established in the spring of 2000, the Scouts Canada Foundation was formed to financially support Scouts Canada by contributing to the education of young people. Grants supported by the Fellowship Program include: Scholarship Grants (17/year), Environmental Grants and other special projects.
Who should join the Fellowship Program?
The Fellowship Program is designed to provide a convenient way for senior volunteers and staff to make a gift to the Foundation. Participants include members of the Board of Governors of Scouts Canada, Directors of the Scouts Canada Foundation, Council Commissioners, senior council volunteers and employees of Scouts Canada.
How are the funds managed?
Fellowship gifts are treated as long-term support and are invested in the Fellowship Fund for 10 years and 4% of the fund balance is allocated to special projects each year. Some past projects funded by the Fellowship fund include the annual scholarships, back to Scouting post-card promotion, environment hiking trails, and the 2009 Emergency Preparedness contest. You will receive a charitable tax receipt for the full amount of your gift.
All donations are tax creditable. To make a Fellowship Gift, please complete the Fellowship Donation Form.
