March Break Camp
When? March 12-16, 2012
Cost- $170.00 for the week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Where? Camp Samac: Conlin Street Entrance(275 Conlin Road)
What times? Our program runs from 9:00 am -5:00 pm. We allow for both early drop off and late pick up at our programs. Earliest drop off is 8:30 am and pick up as late as 5:30 pm at no extra charge.
Who? Our camps are for children ages 5 - 10. Your child is permitted to attend our program as long as they are going to be 5 during this school year (in JK) youth who are in Grade 5 and were 10 years at the beginning of the school year who are now 11 years can still attend our programs.
Who will staff the programs? We are very lucky to have a group of well trained current Scouting Volunteers and Camp Samac staff who lead our programs.
How do you screen your staff? We always follow Scouts Canada’s screening procedures in which all adult volunteers and staff, go through an interview process, give three personal references and must have a clean police record check.
What will your program consist of? Our program is broken up in to five daily themes that incorporate games, crafts and outdoor activities. We offer programs to two age groups: ages 5 – 7 years (Jr.) and ages 8 – 10 years (Sr.). Some activities are combined with both age groups while some activities (that require various levels of competency) are separated.
How do I register? You can register by phone, email, or through the mail. Registrations that come in by telephone or email have an option to register by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), personal cheque or cash at Samac.
What are your ratios? Our ratios for our Jr. Program are 5:1, while our Sr. ratio may go as high as 7:1.
