PRC Application Information
Any leaders who have already used the program and have a clean PRC, this does NOT affect them, these leaders are good to go for 3 years (as long as the PRC was clean). We have received communication from BackCheck that they are unable to fulfill our screening needs. This is due to an unexpected change to the policies of CPIC.  BackCheck will be taking part in round table discussions to see what can be worked out, with Ministry of Public Safety and CPIC in the new year. Effective immediately, Scout Canada Volunteer applicants are to make use of the Police Services with jurisdiction over where they reside.  Any leaders who have already used the program and have a clean PRC, this does NOT affect them, these leaders are good to go for 3 years (as long as the PRC was clean).

We are still looking for methods to try to speed this up and make things less inconvenient, but please remember, there is nothing more important than the safety of our youth.  This issue does not only impact Scouting, but all community groups that require a vulnerable section PRC.  For more information, please take a look at the Windsor Star’s article on this issue.
