About 9th Fort McMurray

The 9th Fort McMurray Scouts group was revitalized in September 2011. In the first couple of weeks that we were taking children into the group, it grew from 4 leaders, with 14 beavers to us having 13 leaders, and approximately 41 youth (Cubs & Beavers included) and 3 Group Commitee members. Our group is located in the Timberlea area. All the leaders, are excited to help organize the weekly beaver meetings, and the special events that get planned throughout the year.

The 9th Fort McMurray Scouts Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm (Please contact Sam Efford on contact page for location). Anyone involved with our group including parents, volunteers, leaders and other committee members may attend. If there is an item you would like added to our agenda, please notify Doris Efford via email (doris@efford.ca) and attend the meeting to represent your item. Approved minutes for these meetings will be published on the Facebook group. If anyone would like a copy of those minutes, they can be sent via email to you upon request.
